Well, well, well... Who knew that EastEnders' Connor Stanley (Arinze Kene) had all of THAT going on underneath the tracksuit?
(And just how many others hit Google for "Connor off EastEnders" as soon as the credits rolled on last night's episode...?)
Watch the episode here.

Haha very true, my jaw dropped to the floor after seeing him shirtless.
UH... What? You're American... In America! How...? *bafflement*
Haha I have my ways, thanks to a user on YouTube, I can watch my favorite soap on my computer(with a one or two day delay occasionally). I'm an avid soap fan, but now I'm an disenchanted US soap fan, so I had to look elsewhere to get my daily dose of drama. What better place than across the pond?
Wow... So weird to think of Americans watching EastEnders, it's the total opposite of what most American TV is like. How do you guys even understand what they're saying?!
Haha it takes some getting use to. I'm a huge fan of British television, I started watching actors with British accents ever since I was 15, being a fan of Masterpiece Theater and tuning into Mystery! every now and then. Since then I've tuned in and out of EE since 2001, watched Skins, the English version of Queer as Folk, and the movie Beautiful Thing. Yeah it takes some time getting use to, but I've familiarized myself with the language somewhat.
That's so cool! When I lived in NYC in '99 they were showing EE on PBS, I was shocked! Carol's son was only 5 or six or something then :(
The UK Queer as Folk is garbage, the US one is better in every way, and Beautiful Thing is one of my favourite movies. Isn't it funny how two of the best characters are now in EastEnders (Auntie Kim and Shirley)!!
Btw Carol and Connor getting it on is OVERLY WRONG! Don't care how grief stricken she is, that's just a MESS!!
Some of us Americans grew up on British tele. My mom's always watched East-Enders and Keeping Up Appearances and Waiting for God. And I suppose I cheat by having lots of English friends.
Re: Kim and Shirley...I know! It's like the casting people of EE purposely casted those two for fans of "Beautiful Thing" and I'm certain that they did. Kim is almost similar to the character in the movie.
I agree though, Connor and Carol are wrong on so many levels. I have to give the actress that plays Carol her kudos, Lindsey Coulson is knocking this material out of the park. I do have to wonder, and you too, where they're taking Connor and Carol. Are they really serious about those two?
"The Boquet residence, the lady of the house speaking..."
Hehe... I take your point Charles, but thanks to The Wire in particular, and the fact the UK can only competently do soaps and comedy now, people hero worship US TV, forgetting that for every Wire there's a Gossip Girl (or worse)...
^Very true. I'm very envious of British television.
Lindsey Coulson is amazing. Did you see the episode where Billy died? That gut wrenching walk across the square, and then everything went silent as she reached the house? Her grief is almost contagious. She's just amazing... It would be interesting if they had the balls to do a proper story about inter-generational love, but can you imagine the reaction?!
@Mike - I'm envious of US TV. As I said, the Brits do soap and comedy, but drama pretty much sucks now. You guys have that sown up.
Re: American Drama: Perhaps, you're right about that.
I watched the episode when Billie died in total awe. American soaps could not do half the job EE did in the episode. It was as if I was actually in Carol's home, watching all the drama unfold, as if I was a peeping tom of sorts. From the realism of waiting for the doctor to arrive to the small details like Carol putting on Billie's sock, were all just too much for me to handle. I was in tears!
I wouldn't mind if they did a story about inter-generational love, in fact I wouldn't mind Connor becoming a permanent fixture in the square. I agree though, EE is probably scared about the reaction, and with a new guy now running the show (former Exec. Producer of Hollyoaks), I doubt he's willing to take the chance.
I think you're biased by all the SVU and other L&O. No I do agree that all I can find of BBC that is enjoyable are Comedy, Soaps and Sci-fi, REALLY hate that they ended Torchwood.
Oh I'm not biased by L&O! There's plenty I hate - all the formulaic crap seamingly aimed at morons (that one with LL Cool J in it) and tons of other crime filler trash with beautiful people... Torchwood is okay. The Children of Earth miniseries was awesome - you know a new series is in the works, a co-production with Starz?
Yes, NCIS: Los Angeles is trash. Total trash. Could never get into the whole NCIS series completely. L&O:SVU is must watch tv for me.
Oh is that NCIS? Ugh - hate it. SVU is GORGE on, in fact I watched 3 episodes out of my boxset tonight lol. I Love all L&O - can't wait for L&O: Los Angeles
Mike - they got a gay Muslim storyline ongoing! I don't think inter-generational love is a big issue. They kinda did it with Max and Stacey a few years ago, thought older woman/young man is different, especially as Carol knew Connor as a kid (that's the real problem), whereas Max didn't know Stacey as a kid... The new guy is doing a good job as far as I can see, glad to see Kat back, although I'd like to see more of the Masouds...
Btw the sock thing had me on the floor wailing like a baby
